5 Great Times to Be in Urban Nature

I thought it would be fun just to list five amazing opportunities to get outside.  Just a subtle reminder to seize the moment and take the time when you can to enjoy the magic of the outdoors in the city!  I hope to do a post on each one of them at some point but for now...

...here are my suggestions:

MORNING FOG

Who is into #chasingfog?  This incredible natural occurrence can really set a mood! #mistyfoggymilkymoody

Plus check out this amazing photo by Kris LeBlanc of the Jock River in the fog.  This image represents everything I love about getting out and exploring the city!

GOLDEN HOUR

Many photographers know about this time of day but it is just as enjoyable even if you are not looking through a lens!

AFTER A STORM

This is a refreshing time to get out, even if the skies are still a bit overcast. The air feels fresh, crisp and it's worth it to see what else is moving about after the bad weather clears.

FULL MOON

This may be a no-brainer, however sometimes I can forget especially in the summer when the evenings are long already.  Moonlit adventures can be the best!

Here are some incredible photos by François Côté of the an outdoor kayaking adventure at Petrie Island under the full moon.  Talk about an amazing urban wild experience!

FIRST SNOW FALL

Those of us in mid-latitudes of North America may still be a month or more away from this white fanfare into winter but it does hold its charm - that first dusting of snow and the air full of flakes.
